Screw Sort Lab is a colour-sort puzzle built by Ingenious Digital, on the web and on Android. You pour stacks of matching screws into clean tubes on a pastel hardware bench. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
The short version: the Android app is fully offline and collects nothing. The web build saves your progress in your browser and shares nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDK other than the browser and the operating system you are already using.
What the App Collects
Effectively nothing. The app stores a small amount of gameplay progress on the device you are playing on:
| Data | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Current level, highest unlocked level, best stars and best score per level | Your device, in the app's private storage (SharedPreferences on Android, localStorage on the web) | So your campaign and Daily Challenge progress survive a relaunch and the level picker can show what you have reached. |
| Daily Challenge streak and today's result | Your device, in the same private storage | So the streak and the daily hint allowance follow you across launches. |
| Settings (sound on/off, music volume, reduce motion, pour arrows on/off, language) | Your device, in the same private storage | So the game starts the way you left it. |
| Earned badges | Your device, in the same private storage | So your badge shelf is filled in across launches. |
All of the above is stored on your device. The web build keeps it in your browser's storage for that origin. The Android build keeps it in the app's private sandbox. Nothing in this list is transmitted to any server, including ours, because there is no server.
What the App Does Not Collect
- No name, email, phone number, address, or any contact detail.
- No account, no sign-in, no OAuth, no sign-in with Apple, Google, Facebook, or anything else.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, photos, or files.
- No advertising identifier (the Android AD_ID permission is not declared).
- No analytics, no usage tracking, no funnel events, no A/B tests.
- No crash reporting, no remote logging, no remote configuration.
- No payment information — the game has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
- No data sold, shared, or transferred to data brokers, advertisers, or analytics vendors.
Network Access
The Android manifest declares only the VIBRATE permission. The INTERNET permission from the Capacitor template was removed once a device run showed it was unnecessary — Capacitor serves the bundled assets through the WebView's own request interceptor, so nothing the app does reaches the network. On the web, the game loads its own bundled files; it does not call out to any third-party service, analytics endpoint, or remote API.
If you want to be sure on Android, you can run the game with the device in airplane mode. Nothing about the gameplay changes.
Children
Screw Sort Lab is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. That is also why no parental gate, no advertising SDK, and no social or chat feature is wired into the game.
Deleting Your Data
On the web, clear the site's data in your browser's settings, and it is gone.
On Android, open the system Settings → Apps → Screw Sort → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes the app and its private storage wholesale.
There is no account to delete, because there is no account.
Changes
If this policy ever changes in a way that affects what the app collects or who sees it, we will update this page and the date at the top of it, and the change will be reflected in the next app update on Google Play.
