Terms of Service

Screw Sort Lab is a colour-sort puzzle built by Ingenious Digital, on the web and on Android. These terms cover the game, wherever you play it and whichever build you install.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Screw Sort Lab, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the game.

2. The Game

Screw Sort Lab is a puzzle game: you pour stacks of matching screws into clean tubes on a pastel hardware bench. It is free to download and free to play. There is no account, no sign-in, no subscription, and no in-app purchase.

The game works entirely offline. Progress, settings, and earned badges are stored on your own device and are not sent to us or to anyone else. The Privacy Policy has the detail.

3. Licence to Play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game on devices you own or control, and to do the same with the web version.

You agree not to:

• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or give the game away as your own product.
• Remove or obscure our copyright notices or branding.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the game's source code, except where that restriction is forbidden by law.
• Include the game, in whole or in part, in a bundle or product of your own without our written permission.

4. Our Content

The game, its code, artwork, animations, level designs, music, sound effects, name, and logo are owned by Ingenious Digital or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. We do not claim ownership of your progress — but progress is stored on your device, so backing it up is your business.

Generated trays — the endless puzzles produced procedurally rather than hand-authored — are ours too, in the same way the hand-made levels are.

5. Third-Party Stores and Sites

The Android build is distributed through Google Play, and the web build is distributed through our own site and third-party portals such as CrazyGames and itch.io. Those stores and sites have their own terms, which also apply to you when you download or play through them. Their availability and their handling of your download are outside our control.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the game, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment. You keep your right to the ideas themselves; we just want the right to build on them.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Screw Sort Lab is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will run on every device.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ingenious Digital and anyone involved in building or operating Screw Sort Lab are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the game or your inability to use it.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Suspension and Termination

You can stop using the game at any time and uninstall it. Since your progress lives only on your device, uninstalling removes it. We may withdraw the game from any store or site, or stop supporting it, at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects your rights or obligations, we will update the date at the top of this page. The change will be reflected in the next app update on Google Play, and on this page for the web version. Continued use of the game after that date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Where the law allows the parties to choose, the courts of Addis Ababa have exclusive jurisdiction.
